Since 2017 there is a new management environment of JOIN Klantcontact. In 2016, the JKC (Join Customer Contact) team worked hard on the construction of a completely new management environment. We call this new management environment customer contact management or CloudAdmin and it is the successor of the old Silverlight-based management environment that was due for replacement. Support for Silverlight is ending by Microsoft and all browsers with the emergence and acceptance of HTML5 as the new standard. The new management environment is therefore fully developed in HTML5, and no longer uses any client plug-in. The management environment is set up as a Cloud environment, which means that all settings for the application are managed in one central place. The management environment ensures the synchronization of the settings to the locally running JKC environment. The settings in CloudAdmin are always directly synchronized with your own local JKC database.
The CloudAdmin is hosted within Microsoft’s Decos Azure environment, whose data center is located in Amsterdam.
All settings are managed in the management environment. These are options that can be checked or unchecked, but also configuration settings of the linked source systems such as the PDC (Product Catalog) or the Business System. All data in CloudAdmin and in the local management environment is stored encrypted. The connection between the CloudAdmin and the local environment takes place via a secure (Secure Socket Layer or HTTPS / SSL) connection. The following data is managed in the CloudAdmin.
Users and Active Directory group
The last name and first name of employees are the only data that is stored. This is necessary to visually properly set the rights for users. The same goes for the AD groups.
Privilege sets
The set of rights that determines which actions users can do in JKC. These are linked to the read in AD Groups and users

CloudAdmin never stores (personal) data of citizens and / or organizations
Only people with an IDP (Decos Identity Provider) account can log in. These accounts are supplied by Decos to the manager (s) of JKC. In order to provide support, it may be necessary for the JKC expert team to log in to the customer environment. Just as that normally takes place via, for example, TeamViewer on your own locally running server. If we have to log in to your environment, we will let you know by e-mail. In addition, an extension of the audit trail functionality is currently being added that makes it visible who viewed what information and when, and / or changed it within the CloudAdmin.
Both the cloudadmin management environment and the general Decos IDP login system are very secure. Decos IDP is not only used by JKC CloudAdmin, but has been used for some time by Zaaktypen.nl for Burger Messages.nl and Agenderen.nl. The certified system has passed a so-called penetration test. This test was conducted by Tesorion on February 27, 2019.
