JOIN Case & Document (& integrations!) requires version 4.8 of .NET
Search: JOIN Case & Document requires the installation of Elastic Search 7.17.3. We support the versions supported by Elastic up to and including version 7.17.3
Databases: We support SQL Server and Oracle databases (Azure Cloud is SQL Server only). MySQL is not supported.
Server: from version 2023.5 we support JOIN in combination with Windows Server 2022. Our cloud environments have now been updated to this version. We recommend that you combine the JOIN 2023.5 and later update with Windows Server 2022. Our technical consultants can guide you through this.
We strongly advise you to always set up a new server when you want to update to windows server 2022. It is strongly discouraged to update an existing server to a higher server version. We also recommend that when installing a new server, you should have the installation of JOIN Case & Document carried out by a Decos technical consultant.

Note: Using the JOIN client in Microsoft Intune
From version 2023.11, it is possible to roll out the JOIN client across your organization via Microsoft Intune. To do this, register the JOIN Client MSI as a Windows app (Win32) in Intune. Choose the MSI needed for the version of Office you use, 32-bit or 64-bit Office. Both MSI setups must be registered as Windows apps (Win32) in Intune.
If you need support with the roll-out of the client, the use of a technical consultant can be used (for a fee)
Prior to each release, security tests are carried out to see if new vulnerabilities can be identified with the latest knowledge. Depending on the severity of the vulnerabilities, these will be fixed by us prior to release and are included in this release. In release 2024.5, we fixed 11 vulnerabilities in JOIN Case & Document.

Version 2024.5 includes various actions. Below is a selection of the highlights:
An important (especially visual) change in JOIN Case & Document is the change in the color scheme and font. We had already done this for JOIN Case Types and JOIN Agenda, and are now changing this for JOIN Case & Document as well. We have used the elements that we also apply to the Decos Cloud Platform, for example in the JOIN Collaboration module.
We have applied the new color scheme and font in JOIN Case & Document (end-user portal), JOIN Admin (administrative environment), JOIN Now (Office integration) and the login screens.
Later this year, we will also implement these changes in JOIN Customer Contact and Fixi.

In version 2024.5, we have worked on a number of improvements in the JOIN Decision-making module
The editor we use to fill in the paragraphs in the proposal has been revamped. Adding (pasting) images should be improved in this editor.
We have improved the stability of the approval routes. In particular, customers with a multitude of routes reported instability in the loading of the routes to us
For some time now, it has been possible to save the final decision as a PDF in addition to the proposal via the setting “save concept and final PDF as separate files in proposal”. What has been additionally changed in version 2024.5 is that the proposal PDF no longer changes after it has been submitted. So the final decision will then only be written to the decision PDF (separate file).

Recently, we have been working the further development of the Teams integration for JOIN Case & Document. The following functionalities will be available from version 2024.5:
We have received requests from various customers to make it possible to make a selection in Teams of channels and folders/files that should or should not be archived to JOIN Case & Document. Because of this option, there is no need to clean in Teams first.
In the JOIN app in Teams, it is now possible to make a selection of the channels, folders and files that need to be archived to JOIN Case & Document when archiving a team to JOIN. This selection is of course remembered when multiple archiving moments are done from MS Teams.
This extension does not require any configuration changes.
Until version 2024.5, it was only possible to configure 1 specific book or case type where a channel could be stored. Because a team often deals with multiple topics, the desire has been expressed by several customers to make this more flexible. Because the case system contains different processes (case types), it is now possible to select a specific case type in which the channel should be stored.
The case types that are available are the case types on which the logged-in user has at least add rights.
The functionality only works if the main book of the hierarchical collection is set up. This does not necessarily have to be the business book, but can be any hierarchically minded collection (where the subbooks are shown as a drop-down list in the main book.
You can configure this in JOIN Admin under the section “configuration --> MS Teams integration”. In the “Channel book key” section, you must enter the key of the main book of the hierarchical collection.
Finally, the available case types in MS Teams are not requested live, but synchronized every 12 hours by means of the “Sync case type interval time” setting. We recommend leaving this setting at 12 o’clock
To ensure that the archiving of a Team has been successful, a document registration is created in JOIN ZD after each synchronization with a PDF showing an overview of the synstranscription action.
In this version we have added functionality to create a Team from an object in JOIN (e.g. a project) in MS Teams. If things (dossiers) and documents are linked to this project file, channels are automatically created in the team in MS Teams and finally the existing documents are synchronized from JOIN to MS Teams.
this functionality (creating Teams from JOIN JZD) is still in beta phase. At your request, we can activate this in your environment so that you can provide us with feedback.

Since version 2023.11, it has been possible to add new features to the registration and workstock screens of JOIN Case & Document. In version 2024.5, we have made several improvements to this functionality and we can use the functionality to call even more external functions. These functions, which were previously known as “custom buttons”, have been renamed to “custom functions” and can be used for a variety of purposes:

Once the feature is configured and activated, you can start using it in JOIN Case & Document. Depending on your configuration, you can start using the button in a registration or task (workload).
This functionality requires an additional license
We are continuously working on stabilizing the functions in the application that are widely used. In previous versions, we have made important stability and performance improvements for the case type integration and the Elastic search functions, for example.
The 2024.5 release includes the following improvements:
More and more organizations are switching to the new version of Outlook 365. In this new version it is no longer possible to use the JOIN Now plug-in. This plugin requires client components.
For this reason, a so-called JOIN add-in has been developed that can be used as a clientless plug-in in Outlook. This will load JOIN Now and allow the following JOIN Now functionalities to be used:
How does it work? Together with a technical consultant, we set up the add-in in your Office environment. Your administrator can then decide which users in the organization the add-in is made available to.

With the new frontend version of JOIN Customer Contact, a change has been made regarding the On dashboard right within the privilege sets.

Prior to each release, security tests are carried out to see if new vulnerabilities can be identified with the latest knowledge. Depending on the severity of the vulnerabilities, these will be fixed by us prior to release and are included in this release. In release 2024.5 we have fixed 4 vulnerabilities in JOIN Customer Contact.
Currently hotfix #2 for version 2024.5 is available in above download!

Callback Note Templates
With the callback note templates, it is possible to configure templates that can be used when creating a callback note. This allows the callback note to be automatically filled with information and the callback note can even be assigned directly to the relevant colleague, mailbox or department. Read more
