Decos offers a combined business system DMS / RMA: JOIN Case & Document. JOIN Case Types (the so-called ZTC) plays an all-determining role for the functional design of the part related to case management (including document management, decision-making, interfaces and records management). The configuration of a case type determines for the most part the functions of the case system.
JOIN Case Types is connected to JOIN Case & Document by means of a functionally rich and technically advanced integration layer, the ZTC integration. The “ZTCSYNCService” runs on the JOIN application server for this purpose, which takes care of the exchange of, among other things, case types, document and decision types, authorizations, etc. etc.
This integration software creates the screens, objects, item profiles, tables, checklists, workflows, set authorizations, etc. The configuration of the case system is thus taken over with zero coding by only the case type configuration. (manual) functional management of JOIN Business & Document is therefore limited to other domains, such as relationship and corporate identity management. After inclusion in Decos, the business system was therefore configured in a functional sense based on the ZTC. Changes in the functional behavior of case types within Decos can be implemented by changing the ZTC. One-time recording of case types has opened a new dimension.
This document describes the complete functional set-up of JOIN Case & Document, which is fully based on the case type configuration (s) in JOIN Case types.
As an administrator, you should bear in mind that you can only make limited manual changes to the configuration. This is explicitly stated per component. Deletion of objects is not allowed. If this does happen, we are obliged to charge you the costs of repair work. If you have any questions, please contact one of our business-oriented experts and / or the Customer Support department.
[null 1.1. File collection “cases”]
During the first synchronization from JOIN Case Types (the first case type is made available for use in the case system), the business warehouse is created. This warehouse is a file collection called “business”.
The file collection “cases” becomes the main collection of a hierarchical collection. This means that all case type collections are hung under this main collection. The case data will then consist of a fixed set of data per case type (which is always recorded with the case) and a variable set of data (which depends on the case type configuration).
The business warehouse has the following default settings (in JOIN Admin):
