On this page you will find all the actions that are included in version 2024.11. This is a so-called major release that also includes new functionalities for the various modules (Case & Document, Integrations and JOIN Customer Contact) and released on Friday, November 29, 2024.
8 weeks after the release of version 2024.11, support for version 2024.5 and the intermediate minor release 2024.8 will expire. Therefore, make sure to update your locally installed JOIN environment to version 2024.11. See also our SLA.

.NET: JOIN Case & Document (& Integrations!) requires version 4.8 of .NET
Search: JOIN Case & Document requires the installation of Elastic Search. We support the Elastic supported versions up to and including version 8.15.0
Databases: We support SQL Server and Oracle databases (Azure Cloud is SQL Server only). MySQL is not supported.
Server: from version 2023.5 we support JOIN in combination with Windows Server 2022. Our cloud environments have now been updated to this version. We recommend that you combine the JOIN 2023.5 and later update with Windows Server 2022. Our technical consultants can guide you through this.
We strongly advise you to always set up a new server when you want to update to windows server 2022. It is strongly discouraged to update an existing server to a higher server version. We also recommend that when installing a new server, the installation of JOIN Case & Document should be carried out by a technical consultant from Decos.

Note: Using the JOIN client in Microsoft Intune
From version 2023.11, it is possible to roll out the JOIN client across your organization via Microsoft Intune. To do this, register the JOIN Client MSI as a Windows app (Win32) in Intune. Choose the MSI required for the version of Office you are using, 32-bit or 64-bit Office. Both MSI setups must be registered as Windows app (Win32) in Intune.
If you need support with the roll-out of the client, the deployment of a technical consultant can be used (for a fee)
Prior to each release, security tests are carried out to see if new vulnerabilities can be detected with the latest knowledge. Depending on the severity of the vulnerabilities, they are fixed by us prior to release and are included in this release. In release 2024.5, we have fixed 11 vulnerabilities in JOIN Case & Document.

The integration of JOIN Case & Document with MS Teams (archiving teams, channels, folders and documents to the structure of JOIN Case & Document) has been further developed in version 2024.11. We have received very nice input from various customers that forms the basis of these expansions.
From 2024.11 onwards, we will also do this for the following document types:
All documents added under the channel are stored in a document registration in JOIN. Here you can select the appropriate document type.
all documents stored in a folder under the channel are included in JOIN under a document registration. All subfolders are also stored in it.

When a case type and/or document type has been chosen, it will no longer be possible to change it from version 2024.11. This prevents various synchronization errors from occurring in the link with JOIN Case & Document.
As you may know, the search engine of Decos (but also the overviews and the filter functions) uses Elastic Search. To ensure that JOIN is a secure system and uses supported and secure components, we update these components regularly. For Elastic Search, this means that JOIN supports version 8 of Elastic.
This means that if you are using the local installation of JOIN Case & Document, you will also need to update your Elastic Search server to version 8.
You can find more information about this in the installation guide of JOIN Case & Document (which version you need to install and how to perform the update). You can also get support from Decos’ consultants in updating your Elastic Search server.
There is no need to rebuild the search index after updating to version 2024.11 and updating Elastic Search to version 8.
The WOO portal has been available for some time now. All information about the WOO Portal can be found on the following page: JOIN WOO Portal.
The integration with JOIN Case & Document has been fully delivered in version 2024.11 (you can use it earlier with a special hotfix for version 2024.8). The configuration of the WOO Portal takes place in the admin environment of JOIN Burgerberichten. Here you can, among other things:

From version 2024.11, in addition to the existing links with Datamask, Octobox and TM7, the link with eData’s anonymization solution will also be available.

As of version 2024.11, it is possible to extend your decision-making templates (part of the JOIN Decision-making module) with the following components:

As of version 2024.11, it is possible to manage word templates without using the JOIN Client software. The clientless template editor works in combination with Office 365 and uses the so-called webdav protocol. The layout of the template editor has also been revamped and is now shown as a side panel in WORD instead of a separate application (as part of the JOIN Client).
The template editor is available in both the desktop version of MS Word and the web version.
To use the new template editor, you need to activate the setting “enable clientless template editor” in JOIN Admin in the configuration panel.

We advise you to be supported by a colleague from Decos.
We have redeveloped the JOIN Integration Admin (JIA) with the Angular technique (we also use this in, for example, JOIN Citizen Messages, JOIN Customer Contact and the search page of JOIN Case & Document). Nothing has changed functionally, but we recommend that you test the new JIA extra.
We are currently working on supporting the Case Oriented Working APIs (ZGW APIs) in combination with the JIA. With this expansion, it will be possible to monitor the transactions of the ZGW APIs via the JIA. We expect to be able to release this in the upcoming update.
