JOIN Case & Document (JZD) is the complete solution for structured storage, providing access, editing and sharing of (documentary) digital information. The flexible and comprehensive configuration enables both small and large organizations to digitally optimize their information processes. Within (local) government, JOIN Zaak & Document is mainly used as a case system. Outside of the government, the Document Management function is mainly used. By using, for example, workflow functionality, it is possible to fully digitize complex processes.

¶ JOIN Now
JOIN Now is the successor to JOIN Direct and allows you to integrate your office automation with JOIN Case & Document. For example, by simply storing your e-mail messages, generating letters and reports, and cleaning up your network discs.
In this wiki you will get an explanation about the functionalities of JOIN Now.
JOIN Now consists of a server component and a client component. This client component should be made available to the client PCs in your organization (these can be both thin and thick clients). JOIN Now is part of JOIN Case & Document and will therefore always be released at the same time as this application.
¶ Case Types
Decos has developed the fully cloud-based JOIN Case Types that focuses on the simple, fast, and complete registration of case types. JOIN Case Types is in line with the standard recently published by KING: Gemma ZTC 2.0. This extensive information model is also perfectly applicable in other government domains such as water authorities and safety regions. Do you have trouble managing your case types and setting up your case system? With JOIN Case Types, Decos introduces the solution to these problems. Not only does JOIN Case Types enable you to easily configure and manage your case types, JOIN Case Types also takes over the management of JOIN Case & Document. JOIN Case Types creates all registration and handling screens, without the intervention of a functional manager. With JOIN Case Types, you can implement a case system that can be deployed throughout the organization at low cost and in a short time. So you are assured of a fast implementation!

JOIN Scheduling is an optional module within the JOIN Suite. It is an extension of JOIN Case & Document, which makes it possible to create an agenda based on a meeting file and distribute it to connected meeting applications. JOIN Scheduling can be used in combination with administrative decision-making, but can also be used for other types of meetings.

JOIN Case & Document Standardized Interfaces¶ JOIN Administration
JOIN - admin tool (JOIN Admin) is the Decos Administration Tool with which you as an application manager can make functional changes for JOIN Case & Document. In JOIN Admin the application manager is called an “administrator”.
Within the group of administrators there must be at least one super administrator. This person has full access to the management application. This manual is specifically intended for all administrators.
In the Appendix you will find more information about specific functions of the application.

Below you will find the links to the release notes and the release schedule for each part of the JOIN Suite. On the relevant page per version you will also find the links to the installation files and installation manuals:
¶ General
The release policy for the JOIN products is as follows:
- major release: in this update we release new features. Additionally, a major version contains all the bug fixes and minor improvements released since the previous major version. We expect to release 1 to 2 new major versions every year.
- patch (minor release): This update only releases bug fixes and minor improvements. A patch is part of a major version (a patch is released on top of a major version). An example:
- in January 2020 the new major version will be 2020.1. 628 released (2020 is the year, 1st month and 628 the version number). This contains all kinds of new features and bug fixes since the previous version)
- A monthly patch 2020.4.628 will be released in April 2020 (2020 is the year, 4th month and 628 is the major version to which the patch applies). The patch can be installed on top of the current major version (2020.1.628)
- In July 2020 (fictional) a new major version 2020.7.629 will be released with a lot of new features. This supersedes all previous versions (so both the previous major version and patches).
- a new patch 2020.8.629 will be released in August 2020 (fictional). This can only be installed if the major version 2020.7.629 is installed.
- Hotfix: A hotfix is only provided for a high priority incident. For example, when an organization cannot work with (a part of) the application due to an error in the software or an acute security risk. If a hotfix affects all installations of JOIN Case & Document, you will be notified of this in an email newsflash. We will list the most recent hotfix on the release page of the relevant version.
