On this page, you will find all actions that are included in version 2024.2. This is a so-called minor release that mainly includes stability, performance and security improvements (Case & Document, Integrations and JOIN Customer Contact). The version was released on February 29, 2024.

JOIN Case & Document (& integrations!) requires version 4.8 of .NET
Search: JOIN Case & Document requires the installation of Elastic Search. We support the versions supported by Elastic up to and including version 7.17.13
Please note: version 8 of Elastic is not yet supported in combination with JOIN Case & Document. This is expected to be the case from version 2024.5.
Databases: We support SQL Server and Oracle databases (Azure Cloud is SQL Server only). MySQL is not supported.
Server: from version 2023.5 we support JOIN in combination with Windows Server 2022. Our cloud environments have now been updated to this version. We recommend that you combine the JOIN 2023.5 and later update with Windows Server 2022. Our technical consultants can guide you through this.
We strongly advise you to always set up a new server when you want to update to windows server 2022. It is strongly discouraged to update an existing server to a higher server version. We also recommend that when installing a new server, you have the installation of JOIN Case & Document carried out by a Decos technical consultant.

Note: Using the JOIN client in Microsoft Intune
From version 2023.11/2024.2, it is possible to deploy the JOIN client across your organization via Microsoft Intune. To do this, register the JOIN Client MSI as a Windows app (Win32) in Intune. Choose the MSI needed for the version of Office you use, 32-bit or 64-bit Office. Both MSI setups must be registered as Windows apps (Win32) in Intune.
If you need support with the roll-out of the client, the use of a technical consultant can be used (for a fee)

Deletion lists are approved within JOIN Admin. However, if you don’t want your users to do this in JOIN Admin, you can also choose to do approval via AD login.
Support for this AD authentication was only for ADFS (WS-FED) and has now been extended to SAML and OIDC.
As the administrator of the deletion lists, you can send the approval requests by e-mail to the relevant officials. These users can then approve the deletion list by means of an AD login. After this, you can start the formal destruction and/or transfer.
230732: [Case Types] make it possible to edit case attributes in JOIN Admin
In JOIN Case Types, we have added the “custom attribute” function for this function in the “attributes” section (of a case type). If the check mark is activated for a case attribute, it will be possible to make changes in the relevant field in the case type item profile (in JOIN Admin). The change in this field (field length, description and table) will not be undone when a new version of the case type is published. For example, you can use this feature to use multi-layered tables in conjunction with a case type.

From version 2024.2 it will be possible to enforce that mail sent from JOIN Case & Document always has a fixed “from” and “reply to” address.
You can set this up in JOIN Admin in the configuration item “email” under the settings “no-reply email address” and “sent by email address”.

A small cosmetic change in the workload: the buttons that allow a user to navigate to the next page in the list of tasks has now been moved to the top. This is because the buttons often got “out of sight” with a long list of tasks.

Configure and export touchpoints
There was already a possibility to export contact moments to Excel in JOIN Customer Contact. It is now also possible to configure which data should end up in the Excel export. Lees meer
Telephony connection with Univerge Blue (Microsft Teams)
We have made a link between JOIN Customer Contact and Univerge Blue. The KCC employee is called on the Univerge Blue software, after which the phone number is automatically forwarded to JOIN Customer Contact. This phone number is entered in the Contact Session Notes and if it is a known caller, the customer card is immediately opened.
Improvements in the link with the Inproces case system
It is now possible to add a Contact History as a PDF to a case. In addition, a case can also be started from JOIN Customer Contact and sent to Inproces. Read More
